略歴（Biography）
中村佳太（なかむら けいた、1981年 - ）は、日本のコーヒー焙煎家、エッセイスト。岩手県生まれ、神奈川県育ち。東京工業大学大学院理工学研究科で地球惑星科学を学び、修士課程を修了。ビジネスコンサルタントとして勤務したのち京都府大山崎町へ移住し、2013年にパートナーと「大山崎 COFFEE ROASTERS」を創業した。コーヒー焙煎のかたわら、ジェンダー、資本主義、科学リテラシーなどについて執筆している。初の著書『コーヒーは男のもの？』では、焙煎や味覚をめぐる「男性らしさ」のイメージ、広告や業界内部のジェンダーギャップを取り上げ、日常的な嗜好品であるコーヒーを入り口に、誰もが働きやすく楽しめる業界のあり方を考察している。
Keita Nakamura (born 1981) is a Japanese coffee roaster and essayist. Born in Iwate Prefecture and raised in Kanagawa Prefecture, he studied earth and planetary sciences at the graduate school of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, earning a master's degree in science. After working as a business consultant, he moved to Oyamazaki, Kyoto, and co-founded Oyamazaki Coffee Roasters with his partner in 2013. Alongside coffee roasting, he writes on gender, capitalism, and scientific literacy. His first book, "Coffee wa Otoko no Mono?" examines gender inequality in the coffee industry, including assumptions about masculinity surrounding roasting and taste, and uses the familiar world of coffee to explore how the industry could become a more inclusive and equitable place to work and enjoy coffee.
