ムスタファ・スレイマン（Mustafa Suleyman、1984年 - ）は、イギリスのAI起業家。2010年に人工知能企業DeepMindを共同創業し、同社がGoogleに買収された後は、AIの応用研究や事業化、製品開発などを率いた。2022年には対話型AIを開発するInflection AIを共同創業し、2024年にMicrosoft AIのCEOに就任。Copilotをはじめとする消費者向けAI製品や研究開発を統括している。代表作『THE COMING WAVE AI、権力、人類の未来 DeepMind共同創業者、Microsoft AI CEOによる警告』（原題 "The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century's Greatest Dilemma"、マイケル・バスカーとの共著）では、AIや合成生物学などの急速に進歩する技術が経済成長や科学の発展をもたらす一方、国家や社会が制御できないほど広く普及する危険性を指摘。強力な技術の発展を止めることなく、その悪用や暴走を抑える「封じ込め」という課題を提示し、企業、政府、国際社会が構築すべき制度や安全策を論じている。
Mustafa Suleyman (born 1984) is a British AI entrepreneur and CEO of Microsoft AI. He co-founded DeepMind in 2010 and, after its acquisition by Google, led work spanning applied AI, commercialization, product development, and AI policy. In 2022, he co-founded Inflection AI, where he served as CEO and helped develop the personal AI assistant Pi, before joining Microsoft in 2024 to lead its consumer AI organization, including Copilot. In "The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century's Greatest Dilemma," co-authored with Michael Bhaskar, Suleyman examines how rapidly advancing technologies such as artificial intelligence and synthetic biology could generate extraordinary economic and scientific benefits while becoming increasingly difficult for governments and societies to control. He frames the central challenge as one of "containment": allowing powerful technologies to develop while building institutions and safeguards capable of limiting their misuse and potentially destabilizing consequences.
