Akira Morio (born 1959) is a Japanese management consultant and expert in corporate valuation and mergers and acquisitions. After graduating from Kyoto University and Harvard Law School, he worked in M&A advisory at the Industrial Bank of Japan and Goldman Sachs, later serving in corporate strategy and investor relations roles before becoming an independent consultant. He currently teaches at GLOBIS University and in executive education programs. Widely recognized for making valuation and corporate finance accessible to both business professionals and general readers, he is the author of *The Value of a Company* (*Kaisha no Nedan*), an introductory work that explains corporate valuation, M&A, investing, and the fundamentals of capitalism through practical examples.
