宮田 律（miyata osamu）- イスラム研究者、現代イスラム研究センター理事長

宮田 律（みやた・おさむ、1955年–）は、山梨県生まれのイスラーム地域研究者。静岡県立大学で中東・アフリカや国際政治を教え、2012年に現代イスラム研究センターを設立した。イランの歩みを古代からたどる『物語 イランの歴史――誇り高きペルシアの系譜』では、ペルシアの文化が、アラブ勢力の進出や欧米諸国の干渉を受けながら、どのように受け継がれてきたかを描く。イスラームの広がりを歴史上の出来事から読み解く『50のストーリーでつながりがわかる イスラムの世界史』では、7世紀のアラビア半島から現代のパレスチナ問題までを取り上げ、交易や他の宗教との関係にも目を向ける。米国・イスラエルとイランの対立を扱う『イラン戦争――アメリカ・イスラエルの策略』では、2026年の軍事衝突を背景に、対立を深めてきた歴史と、それぞれの政治的な思惑を検討している。

Osamu Miyata (born 1955) is a Japanese scholar of Islamic regional studies from Yamanashi Prefecture. He taught Middle Eastern and African studies and international politics at the University of Shizuoka, and founded the Center for Contemporary Islamic Studies in 2012. “Monogatari Iran no Rekishi” (A History of Iran) traces Iran from antiquity, examining how Persian culture persisted through the arrival of Arab powers and later intervention by Western countries. “50 no Sutori de Tsunagari ga Wakaru Islam no Sekaishi” (Islamic World History in 50 Connected Stories) follows the spread of Islam from seventh-century Arabia to the present, including trade, relations with other religions and the Palestinian question. In “Iran Senso” (The Iran War), Miyata examines the long history of distrust between Iran, the United States and Israel, and the political aims behind their 2026 military confrontation.
