略歴（Biography）
宮沢孝幸（みやざわ たかゆき、1964–）は、日本の獣医学者、ウイルス学者。京都大学で長年にわたりウイルス学と獣医学の研究・教育に携わり、動物由来ウイルスの進化や感染メカニズム、宿主との相互作用を専門としてきた。猫免疫不全ウイルス（FIV）やレトロウイルスの研究で知られ、新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行時には感染対策や科学コミュニケーションについて積極的に発信し、広く注目を集めた。代表作『ウイルス学者の責任』では、感染症研究の現場から科学的根拠に基づく議論の重要性と、研究者が社会に向けて情報を発信する責任について論じている。
Takayuki Miyazawa (1964–) is a Japanese veterinarian and virologist. He spent many years at Kyoto University, where his research focused on veterinary virology, particularly the evolution of animal viruses, retroviruses, and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). During the COVID-19 pandemic, he became widely known in Japan for his public commentary on infectious diseases, scientific evidence, and risk communication. His book The Responsibility of a Virologist reflects on the role of scientists in public discourse and argues for evidence-based decision-making and responsible communication during public health crises.
