略歴（Biography）
宮田章（みやた あきら）は、日本のメディア研究者。NHK放送文化研究所メディア研究部主任研究員。NHKのラジオ・テレビドキュメンタリーを中心に、番組の制作技法や表現形式が放送技術や社会の変化とともにどのように発展してきたかを研究している。2025年、早稲田大学で博士（学術）を取得。『戦中戦後のNHKドキュメンタリー――その知られざる達成と挫折』では、1937年から1964年までのNHKドキュメンタリーをたどり、戦時下のラジオ番組から戦後のテレビドキュメンタリーへと至る過程を、音声や映像、取材・編集など番組が「現実」を伝えるために用いた表現形式に着目して明らかにしている。
Akira Miyata is a Japanese media researcher and senior researcher at the NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute. His research focuses on the history of NHK radio and television documentaries, examining how their production techniques and forms of expression have developed alongside changes in broadcasting technology and Japanese society. He received his Ph.D. from Waseda University in 2025. In "Senchu Sengo no NHK Dokyumentari: Sono Shirarezaru Tassei to Zasetsu," he traces NHK documentary production from 1937 to 1964, from wartime radio to postwar television, examining how sound, images, reporting, and editing techniques shaped the ways broadcasters represented reality.
