Saburo Megumi is a Japanese manga artist from Hokkaido. She illustrates “Fragile: Byōrii Kishi Keiichirō no Shoken,” a medical manga written by Bin Kusamizu. The series follows pathologist Keiichirō Kishi, who diagnoses diseases by examining patients’ cells and tissues and refuses to compromise when an accurate diagnosis is at stake. Through cases involving pathology, cancer treatment, drug development, and conflicts within medical institutions, the manga reveals how decisions made away from the examination room can determine a patient’s treatment and future. It was adapted into a television drama in 2016 and received the 42nd Kodansha Manga Award in the General category in 2018.
