Tori Mizunagi is a Japanese manga artist who previously published under the name Hiwako Kimoto. Her first series under her current pen name, "Shiawase wa Tabete Nete Mate," began serialization in the magazine For Mrs. in 2020. It follows Satoko Mugimaki, who can no longer maintain full-time employment because of an immune-system illness and moves into an inexpensive apartment complex, where her relationships with landlady Suzu and cook Tsukasa help her rebuild her daily life. Informed by Mizunagi’s own experience of illness and her interest in medicinal cooking, the manga depicts reduced income, uncertainty about the future, fluctuating health that others cannot easily see, and the search for a sustainable way of living through food, rest, and undemanding human connections. It ranked eighth in the women’s edition of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2022" and was adapted into an NHK television drama.
