kenmo (1982–) is a Japanese individual investor, management consultant, and founder of the Shonan Investment Study Group. After completing graduate studies in information science at Osaka University, he worked as a researcher for a publicly listed manufacturer and began investing in stocks in 2011 with ¥3 million. By concentrating on the analysis of small- and mid-cap growth companies, he increased his portfolio to ¥100 million in about five years without adding further capital. In “Go-nen de ichioku tameru kabushiki toshi” (How to Build ¥100 Million through Stock Investing in Five Years), he explains four approaches—new-high stocks, companies with rising sales and profits, IPO stocks, and event-driven investing—along with methods for reading financial reports and limiting losses.
