Georgi Gospodinov（ジョルジ・ゴスポディノフ、1968年生まれ）は、ブルガリアの小説家、詩人、劇作家。ヤンボル生まれ。ソフィア大学でブルガリア文学を学び、ブルガリア科学アカデミーで博士号を取得した。詩的な文体と実験的な物語構成を特徴とし、記憶、時間、喪失、東欧の歴史、人間のアイデンティティをテーマにした作品で高く評価され、現代ヨーロッパ文学を代表する作家の一人とされる。2020年刊行の『タイム・シェルター』（原題：Time Shelter）は、過去の時代を再現する「時間の避難所」を舞台に、記憶と歴史、ノスタルジアを描いた長編小説として高く評価され、2023年に英訳版がInternational Booker Prizeを受賞した。これはブルガリア語作品として初の同賞受賞作となった。著書に『タイム・シェルター』などがある。
Georgi Gospodinov (born 1968) is a Bulgarian novelist, poet, and playwright. Born in Yambol, he studied Bulgarian literature at Sofia University and earned a Ph.D. from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Widely regarded as one of Europe's leading contemporary writers, Gospodinov is celebrated for his poetic prose and formally inventive fiction exploring memory, time, loss, history, and identity. His novel Time Shelter (2020), which imagines clinics that recreate past decades for people suffering from memory loss, won the 2023 International Booker Prize for its English translation, becoming the first Bulgarian-language novel to receive the award. His other notable works include Natural Novel, The Physics of Sorrow, Time Shelter, and Death and the Gardener.
