Jun Ikeido (1963–) is a Japanese novelist. Born in Gifu Prefecture, he graduated from Keio University and worked for a bank before making his literary debut in 1998, when “Hatsuru Soko Naki” won the Edogawa Rampo Prize. Drawing on his experience in banking, he writes corporate and financial dramas that explore conflicts between institutional logic and individual conviction. “Tetsu no Hone” won the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for New Writers, while “Shitamachi Rocket” won the Naoki Prize. Through the Hanzawa Naoki series and novels such as “Sora Tobu Taiya” and “Nanatsu no Kaigi,” Ikeido examines corporate misconduct, financial power, and the dignity of working people.
