Shoko Ieda (born 1958) is a Japanese author and Buddhist priest. She is known for her nonfiction writing and reportage focusing on people living on the margins of society. In 1991, she received the Ōya Sōichi Nonfiction Award for "Watashi o Daite Soshite Kiss Shite: AIDS Kanja to Sugoshita Ichinen." Her best-known work, "Gokudō no Onnatachi" ("Wives of the Yakuza"), is based on extensive interviews with the wives of yakuza bosses, portraying their lives, struggles, and the realities of organized crime in Japan.
