略歴（Biography）

岩明均（いわあきひとし、Hitoshi Iwaaki、1960–）漫画家。SFや歴史を題材に、人間の本質や社会のあり方を鋭く描く作品で知られる。緻密な構成と独創的な発想を生かし、極限状況に置かれた人々の選択や葛藤を描いた作品は、国内外で高く評価されている。代表作『寄生獣』（Parasyte）は、人間に寄生する未知の生物と高校生・泉新一との共生を描いたSF漫画であり、人間とは何か、生命とは何かを問いかける物語である。

Hitoshi Iwaaki (born 1960) is a Japanese manga artist best known for science fiction and historical works that examine human nature and society. His stories combine inventive concepts with carefully structured narratives, often placing ordinary people in extraordinary situations to explore moral and philosophical questions. His best-known work, "Parasyte," follows a high school student who is forced to coexist with an alien parasite that fails to take over his brain. It is a science fiction manga that explores the nature of humanity, life, and coexistence.
