Kentaro Iwatsubo (born 1969) is a Japanese economist and professor at the Graduate School of Economics, Kobe University. After graduating from Waseda University, he studied at the University of Tokyo and earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research focuses on finance and international finance, including investor behavior in stock, foreign-exchange, and cryptocurrency markets, market microstructure, asset pricing, and monetary policy. In "Nihon no Kojin Tōshika Kenkyū," he combines survey evidence with actual trading data to examine how Japanese individual investors make investment decisions and how their behavioral characteristics affect portfolio choices and investment performance.
