岩田 宏（いわた ひろし、1932–2014）は、日本の詩人、翻訳家、評論家。本名は小笠原豊樹（おがさわら とよき）で、翻訳家としては主に本名で活動した。戦後日本を代表する詩人の一人として知られ、鋭い感性と知性を兼ね備えた作品を数多く発表するとともに、海外文学の優れた作品を日本に紹介することにも大きく貢献した。ロシア語、英語、フランス語文学に造詣が深く、アレクサンドル・ソルジェニーツィン、レイ・ブラッドベリ、ジョン・ファウルズ、ウラジーミル・マヤコフスキーらの作品を翻訳した。2014年には評論『マヤコフスキー事件』で読売文学賞（評論・伝記賞）を受賞した。詩集に『岩田宏詩集』、訳書に『ガン病棟』『華氏451度』『コレクター』などがある。

Hiroshi Iwata (1932–2014) was a Japanese poet, translator, and literary critic. Born Toyoki Ogasawara, he wrote poetry under the pen name Hiroshi Iwata while publishing his translations primarily under his real name. Widely regarded as one of the leading poets of postwar Japan, he combined an original poetic voice with a distinguished career introducing major works of world literature to Japanese readers. Fluent in Russian, English, and French literature, he translated works by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Ray Bradbury, John Fowles, and Vladimir Mayakovsky. In 2014, he received the Yomiuri Prize for Literature (Criticism & Biography) for The Mayakovsky Incident. His notable works include Collected Poems of Hiroshi Iwata, while his translations include Cancer Ward, Fahrenheit 451, and The Collector.
