Takahiro Fujimoto (born 1955) is a Japanese management scholar. He is Professor at the Center for Research on Business and Finance at Waseda University and Professor Emeritus of The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on production management, manufacturing systems, product development, and business strategy, with particular emphasis on the global automotive industry and the competitiveness of Japanese manufacturing. Internationally recognized for his studies of the Toyota Production System and organizational capabilities in manufacturing, Fujimoto has shown how operational excellence creates sustainable competitive advantage. Through his research and collaboration with industry, he continues to deepen global understanding of manufacturing excellence and organizational capability.
