Hua Hsu（フア・シュー、1977年生まれ）は、アメリカの作家、ジャーナリスト、研究者。台湾系移民の家庭に生まれ、カリフォルニア大学バークレー校卒業後、ハーバード大学で博士号を取得。The New Yorkerのスタッフライターを務めるとともに、Bard Collegeで英文学を教えている。アジア系アメリカ人の文化、移民、ポピュラーカルチャー、アイデンティティを主なテーマとし、鋭い文化批評と繊細な文章で高く評価されている。回想録 "Stay True"（『ステイ・トゥルー』）で2023年のピューリッツァー賞（回想録・自伝部門）を受賞した。著書に"A Floating Chinaman"、"Stay True"などがある。
Hua Hsu (born 1977) is an American writer, journalist, and academic. Born to Taiwanese immigrant parents, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He is a staff writer at The New Yorker and Professor of English at Bard College. His work explores Asian American identity, immigration, popular culture, and contemporary American society, combining cultural criticism with deeply personal storytelling. His memoir "Stay True" won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Memoir or Autobiography and the 2022 National Book Critics Circle Award. His books include "A Floating Chinaman: Fantasy and Failure Across the Pacific" and "Stay True: A Memoir."
