フランク・レヴィ（Frank Levy）は、アメリカの経済学者。マサチューセッツ工科大学（MIT）名誉教授。イェール大学で経済学のPh.D.を取得し、カリフォルニア大学バークレー校、メリーランド大学などで教鞭を執った後、1992年にMITに移った。労働市場、所得格差、教育、テクノロジーと仕事の関係を研究し、コンピュータやAIが人間の仕事をどのように代替・補完し、必要とされる技能を変えていくのかを分析してきた。代表作『The New Division of Labor: How Computers Are Creating the Next Job Market』（未邦訳、Richard J. Murnaneとの共著）では、仕事をコンピュータが処理しやすい定型的な作業と、人間による問題解決や複雑なコミュニケーションを必要とする非定型的な作業に分け、情報技術の進歩が労働市場をどのように再編するのかを分析。技術によって仕事が一様に消えるのではなく、仕事内容と求められる技能の組み合わせが変化していくことを示している。
Frank Levy is an American economist and Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Yale University and taught at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Maryland before joining MIT in 1992. His research examines labor markets, income inequality, education, and the ways computers and artificial intelligence reshape jobs and skill requirements. In "The New Division of Labor: How Computers Are Creating the Next Job Market," co-authored with Richard J. Murnane, Levy distinguishes between routine tasks that computers can readily perform and non-routine work that depends on human problem-solving and complex communication.
