藤本龍児（ふじもと・りゅうじ、1976年生まれ）は、日本の社会哲学者、宗教社会学者。帝京大学文学部教授。早稲田大学社会科学部卒業後、京都大学大学院人間・環境学研究科博士課程を修了し、博士（人間・環境学）を取得。同志社大学一神教学際研究センター特別研究員などを経て現職。専門は社会哲学、宗教社会学、アメリカ研究で、とりわけアメリカ社会における宗教と政治、公共性、キリスト教文明の思想的基盤を研究している。現代アメリカを宗教・文明論の視点から読み解く研究で知られ、近年は福音派やポピュリズム、分断社会をめぐる論考でも注目を集めている。著書に『アメリカの公共宗教』『「ポスト・アメリカニズム」の世紀』『宗教のアメリカ』などがある。

Ryuji Fujimoto (born 1976) is a Japanese social philosopher and scholar of the sociology of religion. He is Professor of Sociology at Teikyo University. After graduating from Waseda University, he earned a Ph.D. in Human and Environmental Studies from Kyoto University. Following research appointments at the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Study of Monotheistic Religions at Doshisha University, he joined Teikyo University. His research focuses on social philosophy, the sociology of religion, and American studies, with particular emphasis on the relationship between religion and politics, public life, and the Christian foundations of American civilization. Widely recognized for interpreting contemporary American society through the lenses of religion and civilizational thought, he has written extensively on evangelical Christianity, populism, and social polarization. His notable books include "Public Religion in America," "The Age of Post-Americanism," and "Religion in America."
