Terunobu Fujimori (born 1946) is a Japanese architectural historian and architect, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo. Specializing in the history of modern architecture and urban history, he is renowned for his distinctive interpretations of Japanese and global architecture. At the same time, he has gained international recognition as an architect through his imaginative buildings that make extensive use of natural materials. Through books such as The Adventures of an Architectural Detective, A History of Humanity and Architecture, and Terunobu Fujimori's Lectures on Classical Architecture, he has introduced readers to the richness of architecture, encouraging them to see buildings through the lenses of history, culture, and everyday life.
