Tsukasa Hojo (born 1959) is a Japanese manga artist from Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. He began drawing manga while studying at Kyushu Sangyo University and launched the serialization of "Cat’s Eye" in 1981. He is known for detailed, realistic figure drawing and for combining action, comedy, and romance. His representative work, "City Hunter," follows Ryō Saeba, an underground troubleshooter in Shinjuku, and his partner Kaori Makimura as they accept assignments signaled by the letters “XYZ” on a station message board. Alternating gunfights and criminal investigations with the pair’s unresolved relationship, the manga developed into a long-running franchise encompassing television and theatrical animation as well as live-action films produced in Japan, Hong Kong, and France.
