星野 之宣（hoshino yukinobu）- SF漫画家

星野之宣（ほしの ゆきのぶ、1954年 - ）は、日本の漫画家。北海道生まれ。1975年に『鋼鉄のクイーン』でデビューし、同年『はるかなる朝』で手塚賞に入選した。宇宙や生命の進化を扱うSFから、日本の古代史、神話、民俗学を題材とする伝奇作品まで幅広く手がけ、『ヤマタイカ』で星雲賞コミック部門を受賞。代表作『2001夜物語』は、人類が宇宙へ進出していく未来を舞台に、宇宙開発や異星生命との遭遇、世代を超えた人間の営みを連作形式で描いたSF作品である。また『宗像教授』シリーズでは、各地の神話や伝説、遺跡、風習に残された手がかりから、歴史の知られざる可能性を大胆な仮説によって組み立てている。

Yukinobu Hoshino (born 1954) is a Japanese manga artist from Hokkaido. He made his debut in 1975 with "Kōtetsu no Queen" and received a Tezuka Award the same year for "Haruka Naru Asa." His work ranges from science fiction about space exploration and the evolution of life to historical mysteries drawing on Japanese mythology, archaeology, and folklore, and "Yamataika" received the Seiun Award for Best Comic. His best-known science-fiction work, "2001 Ya Monogatari," is a series of interconnected stories tracing humanity’s expansion into space, encounters with extraterrestrial life, and human lives unfolding across generations. In his "Munakata Kyōju" series, Hoshino turns myths, legends, archaeological remains, and local customs into clues for bold alternative interpretations of history.
