Seiroku Honda (1866–1952) was a Japanese forestry scholar and professor at the Tokyo Imperial University who laid the foundations of modern forestry and landscape planning in Japan. He played a central role in the design of parks and green spaces across the country, including Hibiya Park and the forest of Meiji Jingu. His best-known book, "Watashi no Zaisan Kokuhaku" ("My Confession of Wealth"), draws on his own lifelong practice of disciplined saving and investing to advocate prudent financial management, modest living, and long-term wealth building.
