ポール・モネット（Paul Monette、1945–1995）は、アメリカの作家、詩人、活動家。小説、詩、回想録を通して、HIV/AIDS、愛、喪失、そしてゲイとして生きる経験を率直に描き、1980年代から1990年代にかけてアメリカ文学を代表する作家の一人となった。エイズ危機の時代に、自身の体験を社会的・文学的な視点から記録した作品は、多くの読者に深い影響を与えている。代表作 *Becoming a Man: Half a Life Story* では、自らの半生を振り返りながら、性的アイデンティティの受容と自己実現への歩みを描き、1992年の全米図書賞（ノンフィクション部門）を受賞した。
Paul Monette (1945–1995) was an American author, poet, and activist. Through novels, poetry, and memoirs, he explored the realities of HIV/AIDS, love, loss, and the experience of being a gay man, becoming one of the most influential literary voices of the AIDS era. His deeply personal writing helped bring the human impact of the epidemic to a broad readership while contributing to greater public understanding of LGBTQ+ lives.
