ポール・ビーティ（Paul Beatty、1962–）は、アメリカの小説家、詩人。鋭い風刺とブラックユーモアを駆使し、人種、アイデンティティ、政治、アメリカ社会の矛盾を描く現代文学を代表する作家の一人である。代表作『裏切り者（The Sellout）』では、架空のロサンゼルス郊外を舞台に、人種差別や歴史認識を大胆なユーモアと挑発的な語りで描き、現代アメリカ社会の不条理を浮き彫りにした。同作は2016年にブッカー賞を受賞し、アメリカ人作家として初めて同賞を受賞した作品となった。
Paul Beatty (born 1962) is an American novelist and poet renowned for his sharp satire, inventive language, and fearless exploration of race, identity, and contemporary American society. Blending humor with biting social commentary, his work challenges assumptions about history, politics, and culture while pushing the boundaries of literary fiction. His best-known novel, *The Sellout*, follows a Black protagonist who attempts to reinstate segregation in a fictional Los Angeles suburb, using outrageous satire to expose the contradictions of race relations in the United States.
