Hope Jahren（ホープ・ヤーレン、1969年生まれ）は、アメリカの地球科学者、作家。University of Oslo教授。古植物学や地球化学を専門とし、植物化石や安定同位体を用いて、過去の気候変動や植物と環境の関係を研究している。科学者として第一線で活躍する一方、一般読者向けの科学エッセイや回想録でも高い評価を受けている。代表作『ラボ・ガール』では、植物研究の魅力と科学者としての歩みを率直かつ詩情豊かに描き、世界的なベストセラーとなった。科学的な知見と個人的な体験を巧みに織り交ぜた文章を通じて、自然への驚きや科学の楽しさを幅広い読者に伝えている。
Hope Jahren (born 1969) is an American geochemist, geobiologist, and author.
