Yoshito Hori (born 1962) is a Japanese entrepreneur, educator, and venture capitalist. After graduating from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering, he worked for Sumitomo Corporation and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 1992, he founded GLOBIS, developing a single management course held in a rented classroom into GLOBIS University, an accredited institution offering MBA programs. He also helped establish GLOBIS Capital Partners, combining management education with investment in emerging companies. Through initiatives including G1 and KIBOW, he has also worked on public-policy discussions, regional development, and disaster recovery. His representative book, “Sōzō to Henkaku no Shishitachi e,” identifies capability development, professional networks, and a clearly defined personal mission as the three foundations for leaders seeking to create businesses and bring about organizational or social change.
