Takeru Hokazono (born 2000) is a Japanese manga artist from Osaka Prefecture. He began creating manga during the COVID-19 pandemic and received an honorable selection in the 100th Tezuka Award for his one-shot “Enten.” He made his professional debut in “Jump GIGA” in 2021 and began serializing “Kagurabachi” in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2023. The series placed first in the print category of the 2024 Next Manga Awards, has been published internationally, including in English, and is scheduled for a television anime adaptation in 2027. His representative work, “Kagurabachi,” follows Chihiro, the son of a murdered swordsmith, as he wields the secret seventh enchanted blade and enters a world of sorcery and organized crime to recover six stolen blades forged by his father and take revenge on his killers.
