ヘンリー・ファレル（Henry Farrell）は、アイルランド出身の政治学者。ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学高等国際問題研究大学院（SAIS）の教授を務め、国際政治、民主主義、デジタル技術、政治経済を専門としている。国家権力とテクノロジー企業の関係や、インターネットが政治や社会に与える影響について幅広く研究し、現代の国際秩序や民主主義の変容を鋭く分析している。代表作『地下帝国（Underground Empire）』では、エイブラハム・ニューマンとの共著で、金融ネットワークやデジタルインフラを通じて国家が影響力を行使する「地下帝国」の仕組みを解き明かし、経済安全保障と地政学を考える新たな視点を提示している。
Henry Farrell is an Irish political scientist and professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). His research focuses on international politics, democracy, digital technology, and political economy, with particular attention to the ways networks and technology reshape global power. He has written extensively on the intersection of state authority, markets, and digital platforms, helping to shape debates on economic security and international order. His best-known book, "Underground Empire", co-authored with Abraham Newman, examines how control over global financial and information networks has become a powerful instrument of geopolitical influence in the twenty-first century.
