略歴（Biography）
畠山丑雄（はたけやま うしお、1992–） 日本の小説家。京都大学文学部卒業。2015年、「地の底の記憶」で第52回文藝賞を受賞してデビューした。神話や歴史、政治、土地の記憶を大胆な構想力と重厚な文体で描く作風で知られ、現実と幻想を往還するスケールの大きな物語を生み出している。『改元』は第38回三島由紀夫賞候補となり、2026年には『叫び』で第174回芥川賞を受賞した。現代日本文学を代表する気鋭の作家として注目を集めている。
Ushio Hatakeyama (1992–) is a Japanese novelist. A graduate of Kyoto University, Hatakeyama made his literary debut in 2015 when "Chi no Soko no Kioku" won the 52nd Bungei Prize. His fiction is distinguished by its ambitious narrative scope, blending history, mythology, politics, and the memory of place in richly layered prose that moves between reality and imagination. His novel "Kaigen" was shortlisted for the Mishima Yukio Prize, and in 2026 he won the 174th Akutagawa Prize for "Sakebi." Hatakeyama is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Japanese literature.
