S・A・コスビー（S. A. Cosby、1973年 - ） アメリカの小説家。ヴァージニア州出身で、アメリカ南部を舞台に犯罪や暴力、人種、貧困、家族といったテーマを描く「サザン・ノワール」の代表的作家として知られる。警備員や建設作業員、葬儀場のアシスタントなどさまざまな職業を経験した後、本格的に作家活動を開始した。代表作『黒き荒野の果て』は、足を洗った元逃走ドライバーが家族を守るため最後の仕事に挑む姿を描いた犯罪小説で、ロサンゼルス・タイムズ図書賞、アンソニー賞、バリー賞、マカヴィティ賞など数々の文学賞を受賞した。現代アメリカ犯罪小説を代表する作家の一人として国際的な評価を得ている。
S. A. Cosby (born 1973) is an American novelist and one of the leading voices in contemporary Southern noir. Drawing on his experiences growing up in rural Virginia, his fiction explores crime, race, poverty, violence, masculinity, and family in the modern American South. Before becoming a full-time writer, he worked in a variety of jobs, including as a security guard, construction worker, and funeral home assistant. His breakthrough novel, *Blacktop Wasteland*, follows a former getaway driver drawn back into crime in a desperate attempt to save his family. The novel won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and multiple major mystery awards, establishing Cosby as one of the most acclaimed crime writers of his generation.
