Eva Björg Ægisdóttir（エヴァ・ビョルグ・エイギスドッティル、1988年生まれ）は、アイスランドの推理作家。アイスランド西部の港町アクラネース生まれ。幼い頃から創作に親しみ、15歳で短編小説コンテストに入賞したことをきっかけに作家を志した。社会学と文学を学んだ後、ノルウェーのノルウェー科学技術大学でグローバリゼーションの修士号を取得。帰国後、客室乗務員として働きながら執筆したデビュー作『The Creak on the Stairs』は、アイスランドのブラックバード賞を受賞し、国内ベストセラーとなった。さらに2021年には同作で英国推理作家協会（CWA）のNew Blood Daggerを受賞し、国際的な評価を確立した。故郷アクラネースを舞台にした「Forbidden Iceland」シリーズでは、緻密な心理描写と家族の秘密、地方社会に潜む緊張感を巧みに描き、現代アイスランド・ミステリーを代表する作家の一人として高く評価されている。
Eva Björg Ægisdóttir (born 1988) is an Icelandic crime novelist best known for her internationally acclaimed Forbidden Iceland series. Born and raised in the coastal town of Akranes, she developed a passion for storytelling at an early age after winning a short-story competition as a teenager. She studied sociology and literature before earning an M.A. in Globalisation from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. After returning to Iceland, she wrote her debut novel, The Creak on the Stairs, while working as a flight attendant. The novel won Iceland's Blackbird Award, became a national bestseller, and received the Crime Writers' Association New Blood Dagger in 2021. Renowned for her atmospheric storytelling, psychological depth, and vivid portrayal of small-town Icelandic life, Ægisdóttir has established herself as one of the leading voices in contemporary Nordic crime fiction.
