Elizabeth Graver (1964–) is an American novelist and short-story writer. Born in Los Angeles, she graduated from Wesleyan University and earned an MFA in creative writing from Washington University in St. Louis. Her story collection “Have You Seen Me?” received the Drue Heinz Literature Prize. “The End of the Point,” which traces half a century in the life of a family connected to a coastal community in Massachusetts, was longlisted for the 2013 National Book Award. Inspired by the life of Graver’s maternal grandmother, “Kantika” follows a Sephardic Jewish family migrating from Istanbul through Barcelona and Havana to New York. The novel received the National Jewish Book Award and several other honors. Her fiction examines family, migration, memory, and the shifting meaning of home. She teaches English and creative writing at Boston College.
