Edward Fishman(エドワード・フィッシュマン)は、アメリカの外交・安全保障専門家、研究者。Columbia University国際公共政策大学院(School of International and Public Affairs)の上級研究員。経済制裁、経済安全保障、外交政策、地政学を専門とし、アメリカ政府ではUnited States Department of Stateで制裁政策を担当したほか、United States Department of Defenseや民間シンクタンクでも安全保障政策に携わってきた。経済制裁を国家戦略の重要な手段として分析する研究で国際的に知られ、経済と地政学が交錯する現代の国際秩序を読み解く第一人者の一人として高く評価されている。
Edward Fishman is an American foreign policy expert, researcher. He is a Senior Research Scholar at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. His work focuses on economic sanctions, economic statecraft, national security, and geopolitics. Fishman previously served at the United States Department of State, where he worked on sanctions policy, and has also held national security positions at the United States Department of Defense and leading policy organizations. Widely recognized for his expertise on the use of economic sanctions as an instrument of statecraft, he has become one of the leading commentators on the intersection of economics, diplomacy, and global security in the twenty-first century.
