Eddie S. Glaude Jr. (born 1968) is an American political thinker and scholar of religion. He is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor at Princeton University, where his research focuses on African American studies, religion, and democracy. His best-known book, "Begin Again: James Baldwin's America and Its Urgent Lessons for Our Own," uses the writings of James Baldwin to examine the history of racism in the United States and the challenges facing American democracy today.
