Hiromasa Ezoe (1936–2013) was a Japanese entrepreneur and the founder of Recruit. Starting with a university newspaper advertising business in 1960, he built Recruit into one of Japan's leading information and human resources companies. By creating new information services for employment, housing, and education, he transformed the way individuals and businesses were connected. His best-known book, "Kamome ga Tonda Hi" ("The Day the Seagulls Soared"), reflects on his life, the founding and growth of Recruit, and the ideas and challenges that shaped his approach to entrepreneurship and management.
