Amy Bloom (born 1953) is an American novelist, essayist, and psychotherapist. Drawing on her background in psychotherapy, she writes with remarkable insight into love, family, loss, and identity. Her debut collection *Come to Me* was a finalist for the National Book Award, while *A Blind Man Can See How Much I Love You* was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, establishing her as one of the leading voices in contemporary American fiction.
