青木 雄二（yuji aoki）- 漫画家

青木雄二（あおき ゆうじ、1945–2003）は、日本の漫画家、評論家。鉄道会社や町役場、飲食店などさまざまな職場を経験したのち、デザイン会社を経営したが、資金繰りの悪化によって倒産。この経験を背景に、45歳で『ナニワ金融道』の連載を開始した。同作は、勤め先の倒産で職を失った灰原達之が大阪の消費者金融「帝国金融」に入り、貸し手と債務者の双方が金に翻弄される姿を描いた漫画である。連帯保証、不渡り、差し押さえなどの仕組みを物語に組み込み、法律や契約が人間関係を支配していく過程を大阪弁の会話と独特の画風で表現した。第16回講談社漫画賞と第2回手塚治虫文化賞優秀賞を受賞している。

Yuji Aoki (1945–2003) was a Japanese manga artist and social commentator. After working for a railway company, a municipal office, restaurants, and other businesses, he established a design company that later collapsed because of financial difficulties. Drawing on that experience, he began serializing his breakthrough work, "Naniwa Kin’yūdō," at the age of forty-five. The manga follows Tatsuyuki Haibara, who loses his job when his employer fails and joins Teikoku Finance, a consumer-loan company in Osaka. Through personal guarantees, dishonored bills, asset seizures, and aggressive debt collection, the series depicts both lenders and borrowers being controlled by money, contracts, and legal procedures. It received the 16th Kodansha Manga Award and an Excellence Prize at the second Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
