略歴（Biography）

あだち充（あだちみつる、1951年–）は、群馬県伊勢崎市出身の漫画家。1970年、『消えた爆音』でデビューし、野球や水泳などのスポーツと、家族、恋愛、進路をめぐる青春の日常を組み合わせた作品を発表してきた。代表作『タッチ』は、性格の異なる双子の兄弟・上杉達也と和也、幼なじみの浅倉南を中心に、甲子園への夢と三人の関係を描いた漫画である。優等生で野球部のエースだった和也の死後、それまで努力や本心を表に出さなかった達也がマウンドに立ち、弟の遺した目標と南への思いに向き合っていく。『タッチ』と『みゆき』で第28回小学館漫画賞を受賞し、『タッチ』はテレビアニメをはじめ複数の映像作品にもなった。

Mitsuru Adachi (born 1951) is a Japanese manga artist from Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture. He made his debut in 1970 with "Kieta Bakuon" and has combined sports such as baseball and swimming with stories of family, romance, and decisions about the future. His representative work, "Touch," centers on twin brothers Tatsuya and Kazuya Uesugi and their childhood friend Minami Asakura, connecting their changing relationship with a shared dream of reaching Japan’s national high-school baseball tournament at Koshien. After Kazuya, an accomplished student and the baseball team’s ace, dies unexpectedly, the previously unmotivated Tatsuya takes the mound and confronts both the goal his brother left behind and his own feelings for Minami. "Touch," together with "Miyuki," received the 28th Shogakukan Manga Award, and "Touch" was adapted into a television anime and other screen productions.
