有本 香（Kaori Arimoto） - ジャーナリスト、政治活動家

有本 香（ありもと かおり、1962年–）は、国際関係、民族問題、日本の政治を取材するジャーナリスト、政治活動家。奈良市に生まれ、西伊豆で育った。東京外国語大学を卒業後、旅行雑誌の編集長、企業の広報担当を経て独立し、海外取材や編集・執筆に携わった。2000年以降は東チベットで取材を重ね、『中国はチベットからパンダを盗んだ』でチベットをめぐる中国の政策と経済活動を論じた。国内政治にも取材対象を広げ、豊洲市場の移転延期や東京五輪の見直しを扱った『「小池劇場」が日本を滅ぼす』を刊行し、その後の動きを踏まえて加筆・修正した文庫版も出した。2018年には百田 尚樹の『日本国紀』の編集を担当し、百田との共著で歴史や皇室をめぐる議論を続けた。2022年に百田とニュース番組「あさ8」を始め、2023年には日本保守党の結党に携わった。共著『日本保守党 日本を豊かに、強く。』では、党の設立に至る経緯や政策、国家観を論じた。

Kaori Arimoto (born 1962) is a Japanese journalist and political activist whose reporting concerns international affairs, ethnic issues, and Japanese politics. Born in Nara and raised in western Izu, she graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. After working as a travel magazine editor and in corporate public relations, she became independent and pursued reporting and editorial work. From 2000 onward she reported in eastern Tibet; her Japanese-language book “Chugoku wa Tibet kara Panda o Nusunda” examined Chinese policy and economic activity concerning Tibet. She subsequently wrote about Japanese domestic politics, including the postponement of the Toyosu market relocation and plans for the Tokyo Olympics in “Koike Gekijo ga Nihon o Horobosu.” A revised and expanded paperback followed. In 2018 she edited Naoki Hyakuta’s “Nihon Kokuki,” and later co-authored books with him discussing Japanese history and the imperial institution. They launched the online news programme “Asa 8” in 2022 and helped found the Conservative Party of Japan in 2023. Their co-authored “Nihon Hoshuto: Nihon o Yutaka ni, Tsuyoku” discussed the party’s founding, policies, and view of the nation.
