Aswath Damodaran is an Indian-born American professor of finance, author, and one of the world's leading authorities on corporate valuation. He earned his bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Madras before completing his MBA and Ph.D. in finance at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is the Kerschner Family Chair in Finance Education at the New York University Stern School of Business, where he has taught corporate finance and valuation for decades. Often referred to as the "Dean of Valuation," Damodaran is renowned for bridging academic finance and real-world investing through his teaching, research, books, and freely available valuation resources. His influential works include Investment Valuation, Damodaran on Valuation, The Dark Side of Valuation, Narrative and Numbers, and The Corporate Life Cycle: Business, Investment, and Management Implications.
