アルンダティ・ロイ（Arundhati Roy、1961–）インドの小説家、エッセイスト、社会活動家。1997年にデビュー作『小さきものたちの神』（原題 "The God of Small Things"）でブッカー賞を受賞。インド社会における格差やカースト、宗教、環境問題、人権をテーマに、小説や評論を通して発信を続けている。『小さきものたちの神』は、インド南部ケーララ州を舞台に、一つの家族の歴史を通して、愛や喪失、カースト制度が人々の人生に及ぼす影響を繊細に描いた代表作である。

Arundhati Roy (born 1961) is an Indian novelist, essayist, and activist. She won the Booker Prize in 1997 for her debut novel, "The God of Small Things," and has since written extensively on inequality, caste, democracy, environmental issues, and human rights in India. Her best-known novel, "The God of Small Things," is set in the southern Indian state of Kerala and tells the story of a family whose lives are shaped by love, loss, and the constraints of caste and social convention.
