アン・ウォームズリー（Ann Walmsley） カナダのジャーナリスト、作家。『グローブ・アンド・メール』や『マクリーンズ』などで執筆し、National Magazine Awardsを4度受賞するなど、雑誌ジャーナリストとして活動してきた。幼いころから読書会に親しみ、9歳で初めて自ら読書会をつくった。代表作『プリズン・ブック・クラブ コリンズ・ベイ刑務所読書会の一年』（原題 "The Prison Book Club"）では、カナダの男子刑務所で18か月にわたって読書会に参加した経験をもとに、『怒りの葡萄』などの本を囲んで受刑者たちが語り合う様子を記録。犯罪や服役に至った過去を抱える参加者たちが、登場人物の生き方を手がかりに、喪失、怒り、罪、家族、自らの人生について率直に言葉を交わしていく過程を描いている。

A four-time recipient of Canada's National Magazine Awards, she has spent much of her career as a magazine journalist. An enthusiastic participant in book clubs since childhood, she founded her first one at the age of nine. In "The Prison Book Club," Walmsley draws on the eighteen months she spent participating in book clubs in Canadian men's prisons. Through discussions of books including "The Grapes of Wrath," she follows incarcerated readers as literature opens conversations about loss, anger, guilt, family, and the experiences that shaped their lives.
