Andrew Solomon（アンドリュー・ソロモン、1963年生まれ）は、アメリカの作家、ジャーナリスト、講演者。ハーバード大学で英文学を学び、ケンブリッジ大学ジーザス・カレッジでも学んだ。心理学、メンタルヘルス、アイデンティティ、家族、人権を主なテーマとして執筆し、綿密な取材と深い共感に基づくノンフィクションで国際的に高い評価を受けている。2001年刊行の『The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression』は、うつ病を当事者・家族・社会の視点から包括的に描いた画期的な作品として、National Book Award for Nonfictionを受賞した。その後も『Far from the Tree』で家族や多様性について深く考察し、世界的なベストセラーとなった。ジャーナリストとしても数多くの国際問題や社会問題を取材し、現代社会における多様性と人間の尊厳について積極的に発信している。
Andrew Solomon (born 1963) is an American author, journalist, and lecturer whose work explores psychology, mental health, identity, family, and human rights. He studied English literature at Harvard University and later attended Jesus College, Cambridge. Widely acclaimed for combining deeply personal insight with rigorous reporting, Solomon has established himself as one of the leading narrative nonfiction writers of his generation.
