Adam Phillips(アダム・フィリップス、1954年生まれ)は、イギリスの精神分析家、エッセイスト、ノンフィクション作家。長年にわたりCharing Cross Hospitalで児童心理療法士として活動するとともに、Royal Shakespeare Companyの顧問も務めた。精神分析、文学、哲学を横断する独創的な評論で知られ、人間の欲望、親密さ、孤独、自由、幸福といった普遍的なテーマを、平易でありながら示唆に富む文章で探究している。Sigmund FreudやDonald Winnicottの思想を現代的な視点から読み直し、学術と一般読者をつなぐ精神分析の案内役として国際的に高く評価されている。

He worked for many years as a child psychotherapist at Charing Cross Hospital and has also served as a consultant to the Royal Shakespeare Company.
