略歴（Biography）

朝比奈秋（あさひなあき、1981–）日本の小説家、医師。京都大学医学部を卒業後、内科医として勤務する傍ら創作活動を始めた。医療現場での豊富な経験を背景に、生と死、病、身体、家族といった普遍的なテーマを緻密な描写と深い人間理解で描いている。2021年に『塩の道』で林芙美子文学賞を受賞し、2023年には『植物少女』が芥川賞候補となる。2024年、『サンショウウオの四十九日』で第171回芥川賞を受賞し、現代文学に新たな視点をもたらす作家として注目されている。

Aki Asahina (1981–) is a Japanese novelist and physician. After graduating from Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine, Asahina began writing fiction while practicing as an internist. Drawing on firsthand experience in clinical medicine, the author's work explores illness, the body, family, and the boundary between life and death with psychological depth and meticulous observation. Asahina won the Hayashi Fumiko Literary Prize in 2021 for "Shio no Michi," and "Shokubutsu Shōjo" ("Plant Girl") was shortlisted for the Akutagawa Prize in 2023. In 2024, "Sanshōuo no Shijūkunichi" ("The Salamander's Forty-Nine Days") received the 171st Akutagawa Prize, further establishing Asahina as a distinctive voice in contemporary Japanese literature.
