Takako Ando is a Japanese translator of English-language nonfiction on business, society, and everyday life. Abraham Burickson’s “Experience Design” considers how to shape the time people spend and the experiences they remember, moving beyond products and functions alone. Through examples from ordinary life, it presents principles for understanding the structure of experience. Jake Hall’s account of queer solidarity follows people who have supported one another while seeking social change. Ando has also translated Margareta Magnusson’s reflections on growing older, introducing practical and personal perspectives on later life. These works connect the decisions people make in their own lives with the social environments in which they live.
